How can I transfer units between an existing and a new unitholder without affecting prior year unit balances?

To complete this, you can enter a new set of unit details that subtract units from the existing unitholder, then add units to the new unitholder.

Instructions

Navigate to the Beneficiaries Screen:

From the Main Toolbar, hover the cursor over the Beneficiaries icon
From the side menu, select Beneficiaries

1. Select the existing unitholder that you will be transferring units from:
   
   
   
2. Select "+ Add Units":
   
   
   
3. Input unit details with a negative number of units. This will subtract these units from this unitholder:
   
   
   
   
4. Once completed, select the new unitholder and add the units as usual, see: Beneficiaries Screen - Editing Beneficiary Information.
